Gargamel's one goal in life is to destroy the Smurfs in any way he can eat them, or to liquefy them into gold. Many of his plans are often thwarted by the Smurfs, leaving him with an utter hatred of them as a result. He lives in a small castle near the Smurfs' village, and has a pet cat named Azrael.
Character description
Gargamel is a human male carrying a hunched back, black hair that's balding on the top, bushy eyebrows, and a single tooth. He wears a patched, black robe with dark red socks and shoes.
He is a highly competent wizard expertise in magic and alchemy. He owns many spell books in his castle that he can use, but his preferred method is using his other skills; namely inventing machines. He is also seen planting traps for the Smurfs to fall into. Despite this, Gargamel is easily thwarted by the Smurfs' workforce and their various allies, and much of his schemes didn't fare any better in the long run.
