Alan Reed was an American voice actor. He worked for the Hanna-Barbera animation production company where he was best known for originating the voice of Fred Flintstone.
Reed suffered from a heart attack and died on June 14, 1977 at the age of 69. Fred's later roles after Reed's death were done by his successor, Henry Corden.
