"A Visit from Grandpa" is the eleventh episode of The Jetsons season one. It aired on December 2, 1962 on ABC. It was written by Walter Black, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joe Barbera, the creators of the show and the co-founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.

George's hundred-and-ten-year-old, energetic grandfather, Montague, comes for a visit.

Development

When The Jetsons originally aired no title cards were present. The were only added when the series was revived in the 1980s, and the original episodes were given title cards for consistency. Notably, the all include Orbitty, who wasn't in the original series.

Behind the scenes

• This is the first appearance of Montague.
• Celeste Skylar looks like Betty Rubble from The Flintstones.

Errors

• When Jane asks Montague why didn't tell them everything to begin with, it comes out of Judy's mouth.
