Detailed summary

Memorable quotes

Narrator: The city of Townsville... The happiest, cleanest, safest little town on Earth. Home of the Powerpuff Girls, and the Professor, the Mayor, Ms. Bellum, Ms. Keane, Talking Dog, Mojo Jojo, and the well meaning but often imperiled townspeople of Townsville.

Narrator: So once again, the day is, was, and forever will be saved, thanks to the Powerpuff Girls. I'm never going to drive over 55 again.

Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: June 2, 2000 on Cartoon Network

Behind the scenes

  • In the alternate timeline, the Mayor died at 83, indicating that this would presumably be his age in the original timeline, too, since the world fell apart not too long after the girls jumped into the future.
  • This is decidedly the darkest episode and the most evil Him has been in the entire series, revealing what would happen if he was allowed to take control. He also reveals his true form.
  • There are a couple of cameos from Don Shank, the art director of this episode. He is only identified in the voice credits as Don.

Errors

  • When all the kids leave class, they pass three times to make it look like there are more students than there really are.

Everlasting influence

  • In "Members Only," the Professor indirectly refers to this event as one of the many times the girls have matched wits with Him.
