Behind the scenes

  • An Ashcan Edition was released to retailers as a sixteen-page preview on March 6, 2024.
  • The title for this story, "With Only Ghosts to Comfort Us," didn't make it into the print, but was used by Dynamite as the subtitle of the first trade paperback.[1]
  • Dr. Keplar was formerly named Space Hunter/Paul Hunter in DC Comics' Cartoon Network Starring #9, although neither is right or wrong, since he was never in the original cartoon in the 1960s.
  • Tyler Kirkham's variant is an homage to Jim Lee's Superman #204 (2004).
  • Special thanks are given to Josh Anderson, Kurtis Estes, and Benjamin Harper.
  • Cover A is reused for the cover of the first trade paperback collection.
