Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: October 30, 1982 on ABC

Behind the scenes

  • Displayed backstage are posters for a free concert on February 14, and a Royal Ballet of Canada on May 20. The latter is a pun on the National Ballet of Canada.
  • This is one of two episodes in which Darla is eager to meet a celebrity. The other is "The Zero Hero", in which she goes on a date with the actor who plays Captain Muscles.
  • When Darla reads the message on a picture of Greg which is forged by Alfalfa, the message starts with "My Darling Darla" - which has two inverted letter Ds.

Errors

  • When Alfalfa puts up a poster of Greg Groovy in the treehouse, Greg's last name ends with an "e" instead of a "y". When other posters were shown later in the episode, Greg's name was spelled correctly.
  • After Darla informs Alfalfa she likes him more than a rock musician, she kisses Alfalfa on the cheek. Wouldn't that be a violation of U.S. law at their age?
