Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: October 6, 1990 on CBS

Behind the scenes

  • Ted views the BBC, the British Broadcasting Corporation, as only educational television.
  • Rufus reveals that his name is actually his middle name since, in the future, people only use middle names.
  • The name of Henry Ford's horse, Edsel, is an in-joke to the name of his son.

Errors

  • When Standish proclaims the site they're on to be Plymouth Rock, his hat flashes between light gray to gray.
  • Bill says to Ted, "Ted, we better bail before she changes her mind," but it comes out of Ted's own mouth.
  • If the Wright brothers didn't think flight was possible, then why did they stick wings on their bicycles?
  • The last line of the episode is supposed to be Bill talking to Ted, unfortunately, his voice comes out from Ted's own mouth again. Bummer.
