"Dawn of the Disposals" is the ninth episode of Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs season one. It aired on September 30, 2021 on HBO Max. It was written by Joan Ford, produced by series creators, Mark Marek and Marly Harpen-Graser, and directed by Marek and Zach Smith.

On Halloween night, kids get rid of their new healthy frozen dinners by feeding them to their pig garbage disposals, which turns out to be a bad idea when the supposedly good bacteria in the food turn the pigs into zombies who terrorize the town.

Development

Writer of the episode and creator of the character, Joan Ford, intended for Shaley to be a transexual girl,[1] although the series was canceled before those plans could be fully realized.[2] Ford would've preferred a trans actor to be the voice of Shaley, but the budget wouldn't allow for an additional guest.[3]

Ford also got to be involved with the design of Shaley, being pleased with the final look, which she felt was a little bit relatable particularly with Shaley's bang over one of her eyes.[4]

Filming

It was copyrighted in 2018.

Music

The theme song "Big Bang" was written and performed by Mark Marek. The music was composed by Allesandro Tabora.

Release
