"Crime 101" is the twenty-second episode of What a Cartoon! season one. It aired on January 28, 1996 on Cartoon Network. It was written and directed by the creator, Craig McCracken. This episode, along with "Meat Fuzzy Lumkins," was a back door pilot to what led to The Powerpuff Girls being commissioned as a fully realized series in 1998.
The Powerpuff Girls teach the Amoeba Boys how to commit a real crime.

- This is technically the second appearance of the Amoeba Boys, as they had already appeared in Whoopass Stew, the CalArts project of Craig McCraken, which led to the creation of The Powerpuff Girls.

- One of the bank customers resembles series creator, Craig McCraken.
- The bank guard's voice is an imitation of Don Knotts.
- The Amoeba Boys trying to break the law by standing on the grass is reused in "Geshundfight."
