"The Grass is Always Dinner" is the eighth episode of Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs season one. It has yet to be aired or streamed in the United States, but was first aired in the UK and Ireland on February 11, 2020 on Boomerang. It was written by Steve Clemmons, produced by Mark Marek and Marly Harpen-Graser, and directed by Erik Knutson.

Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm invite a cow-like dinosaur from the Crags to eat his lawn, so Bamm-Bamm can get out of doing his chores, but it ends up eating everything in sight over both families' gardens, including Wilma's precious flowers.

Behind the scenes

  • The episode title is a reference to the saying "The grass is always greener." You're welcome.
  • This feels like it was written to be the pilot. The style is fairly different from the rest of the series; Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm act relatively new to the Crags, the Crags have a leader, who is presence is largely reduced in other episodes, and Barney attempts to do a Family Guy-style cutaway joke.
  • National Jurassic is a parody of National Geographic.
  • Dino does a dab dance.

Errors

Everlasting influence

King T-Rocks reappears in "Bammnesia".
