:Also a proper heading and also for stuff completely outside of WBA/HB, like ''Family Guy''; for the latter, I was thinking "In popular culture". But I should've told you immediately because I can't really remember what to give to the former, like for cases when Huckleberry appears in ''Animaniacs''. I guess something like "Other media", and hope that isn't too similar to "In popular culture". -- [[User:MisterJames|MisterJames]] ([[User talk:MisterJames|talk]]) 21:59, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

I think to be honest with how they were actually named in the cartoon, we should drop the surnames (except for Cabot, which was used). The surnames we're used to only became in use after they were applied in the live-action movie, which has no bearing on the cartoon. And while I'm here, I might as well bring up the surnames of the Funky Phantom characters, which I haven't once been able to find evidence in years. -- MisterJames (talk) 18:23, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

I mean, I've only watched the first episode of Funky Phantom, but somehow I can't imagine those surnames ever appearing (unless that's where they really come from, which I doubt). -- MisterJames (talk) 18:23, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I looked up the model sheets of the Pussycats characters and didn't see those surnames so I'm assuming they were guessed. It was a similar situation with Ding-a-Ling where for the longest time, it was was assumed by many that his surname was "Wolf" (and his "surname" didn't even exist). -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:55, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
Assuming Ding-a-Ling's surname is "Wolf" because he's a Wolf is just like saying that Dum Dum's surname is "Dog" because he is a dog. I don't believe that some surnames exist for an example, some sources say "So-So the Monkey" even though he's just called "So-So". I believe Snagglepuss' surname could be "Lion" since in some LaL episodes he's called "Snagglepuss Lion". -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:05, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I remember that about Snagglepuss, although I'm not sure if I remember it from the cartoon or if the comics used it as well. -- MisterJames (talk) 21:31, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I don't believe it was ever referenced in his own show. But than again, Grape Ape was said to be the son of King Kong in LaL (something that was never said in his own show). -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:52, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I meant the LaL cartoon. -- MisterJames (talk) 21:53, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I can go though and find which episode(s) of LaL referred to him as so. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:25, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
After going through, here's where it was referenced in --> https://laffalympics.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Search?query=Snagglepuss%20Lion&useskin=oasis - I was wrong, it wasn't referenced in any episode, it was referenced in the comics. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:29, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

That was quicker than I thought about Funky Phantom. I assume they're not photocopied and are real. https://twitter.com/weirdlandtales/status/1263941111040684033 -- MisterJames (talk) 18:28, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Naming

Does band need to be in brackets? I can't figure why I thought it was a good idea to begin with. -- MisterJames (talk) 19:47, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm in agreement with that. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:46, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
It seems you added those because the Scoobypedia page also had brackets. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:48, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
I don't recall doing that and I don't see any brackets there now. But I may have added them here because there's also the album. -- MisterJames (talk) 21:04, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
I just realized that when rethinking. My mistake, the show doesn't have a page on there. I still don't think we need brackets around the "band" part though. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:22, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
So, this would okay for you?:
That sounds alright with me. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:48, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Cartoon Feud

I mean, it's a TTG episode, but it has a lot of connection to HB (especially Scooby). So I guess it's fine. I feel like we should have a non-canon category for the stuff that isn't deemed canon outside of HB -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:25, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Also a proper heading and also for stuff completely outside of WBA/HB, like Family Guy; for the latter, I was thinking "In popular culture". But I should've told you immediately because I can't really remember what to give to the former, like for cases when Huckleberry appears in Animaniacs. I guess something like "Other media", and hope that isn't too similar to "In popular culture". -- MisterJames (talk) 21:59, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
Another issue I can't exactly decide on is Robot Chicken's individual skits that completely surround HB related stuff such as Laff-a-Munich and A Scooby Friday. These are not just small references like the Family Guy episodes have. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:52, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
I would still do the page exactly the same as the Family Guy page. -- MisterJames (talk) 03:20, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
