Memorable quotes

Shaggy: An old friend!
Fred: A rich, old friend. Then let's see who this Bee-Man of Alcatraz really is, quickly.
Velma: Bob the beekeeper. Yup. Didn't see that coming.
Daphne: All yours, boys. Take him away.
Bob the beekeeper: And I would have got away with it if...
Daphne: What did he say?!
Fred: You know, the usual!

Fred: Let me get this right, basketball legend and assist king Chris Paul...
Daphne: Is playing in a golf tournament...
Velma: To save an art school....
Scooby: So he can teach them bowling?
Paul: Now you're getting it.

Behind the scenes

  • With every episode's title card, one of the gang announces the guest star, which is Shaggy this time.
  • How many times does Fred say "Hold the phone"? Once.
  • Mystery Inc.'s scuba diving outfits are based on the designs of the scuba diving outfits they wore in the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode "A Clue for Scooby-Doo".

Errors

  • It's unclear what the episode title is referring to because there is no backstory given to the swamp monster, so what's the revenge about?
  • Scooby wonders where the squirrels have gone to while he chases them, but they looked more like gophers, although the intention might've been ground squirrels, although that seems unlikely, since there was also a common tree squirrel, too.
  • On the night of the golfing tournament, the moon changes from full to crescent.
  • Burt Friendly is listed as A. Friendly on the scoreboard.
