Characters played Velma Dinkley

Melinda Heather "Mindy" Cohn is an American actress, best known for voicing Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo from 2002 to 2015, succeeding B.J. Ward, and was later succeeded by Kate Micucci.

Roles

Other roles

Cohn got her big break as one of the young girls on the 1980s sitcom The Facts of Life.

Behind the scenes

  • Cohn was initially positive about Kate Micucci playing Velma, since she seemed to be under the assumption that Micucci would only be playing the role for television, while she would continue to be in the DVD movies and video games,[1] which was true for the latter when she was hired to play Velma in Lego Dimensions, but this was the last time, until she amazingly hired to reprise the role in a Halifax commercial a couple of years later. In 2019, when Matthew Lillard expressed his disappointment in being replaced by Will Forte in SCOOB!, she shared her sentiment, implying that she had been replaced without being told.[2]
