History

Teen Titans Go!

In the Teen Titans Go! episode "Cartoon Feud," Control Freak hijacks the Teen Titans' TV and displays photos of Jonny Quest, Josie and the Pussycats (specifically of Josie, Melody, and Valerie), and Scooby-Doo, which he views as something classic the viewers at home would rather watch on Cartoon Network, but can't because the schedule is always lined up with Teen Titans Go!

Behind the scenes

• Josie and the Pussycats appeared in Craig Titley's 1996 draft in what eventually morphed into Scooby-Doo in 2002.

In popular culture

• In Comedy Central's adult animated series Drawn Together, Foxxy Love, a parody of Valerie, is a former member of the all-black, all-girl band Foxxy 5. There is a reunion in "Captain Hero's Marriage Pact," which differs from a deleted scene in "Hot Tub," in which they were of different enthicities.
• Josie and the Pussycats finally returned to Earth in The Bleepin' RC Archie Comics Special.
