George Alexander "Alex" Trebek was a Canadian-American game show host and television personality, best known as the host of the quiz show Jeopardy! for 37 seasons from its third incarnation that started in 1984 until his death.
Trebek died on November 8, 2020 from pancreatic cancer at the age of 80. At the time of his death, he had been contracted to host Jeopardy! through to 2022. His final episode aired on January 8, 2021.
