"Droopy Dragon" is the first episode of Wally Gator season one, and came as part of The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series. It aired on September 3, 1962 in first run syndication. It was produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.
Wally, tired of his usual every day routine, decides to escape from the City Zoo once and for all, but Wally's cigar smoke leads him in trouble with a hunter who mistakes Wally as a fire-breathing dragon.
