Daytoona 500 was an afternoon/evening block on Cartoon Network between 4-7pm on February 13, 1999. The block, hosted by Brak (in his Space Ghost Coast to Coast/Cartoon Planet incarnation), was used to promote the Daytona 500. In the spirit of the Daytona 500, Cartoon Network set up a race which pitted against each other Hong Kong Phooey in the Phooeymobile, Scooby-Doo and Velma in The Mystery Machine, Toony, Dexter, and Jane Jetson in George's flying car.
