"Werewolf of the Timberland" is the seventeenth episode of Jonny Quest season one. It aired on January 7, 1965 on ABC. It was written by William D. Hamilton, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.
Hunting for samples of petrified wood in the Canadian Rockies, Doctor Quest encounters a gang of lumberjacks intent on protecting their gold-smuggling operation. At the same time, Jonny and Hadji befriend an indigenous man and his wolf companion.

Behind the scenes
- The premise of crooks, who are pretending to be a supernatural threat, is very similar to what would become the formula for Scooby-Doo. This is not the only Quest episode to feature such a plot point.
