Behind the scenes
- MGM's animation department was shut down after this short, leading William Hanna and Joseph Barbera to found their own animation studio, ala Hanna-Barbera, for television. In 1961, MGM revived Tom and Jerry when they animation department, but without the involvement of either Hanna and Barbera.
