"The Twitch" is the fifth episode of The Flintstones season three, and the sixty-fifth overall. It aired on October 12, 1962 on ABC. It was written by Joanna Lee, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of the series and the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.
When a pop star becomes unable to perform Wilma’s charity ball, Fred takes his place after boasting on having one.

- Ed would later appear in the season 5 episode "Itty Bitty Fred."
- In the 1994 live-action movie The Flintstones, the first scene of Fred and Barney is of them in the Flintmobile singing along to "The Bedrock Twitch," and then Fred and Wilma dance to a live performance by The B.C.-52's (B-52's playing themselves) at the Cavern on the Green.
