Beatrice Benaderet was an American actress and comedian. She is best known for being the original voice of Betty Rubble in The Flintstones. After scheduling conflicts arose from another show, Petticoat Junction, Benaderet left the show following the fourth season, with Gerry Johnson becoming her replacement.
Benaderet died on October 13, 1968 from lung cancer at the age of 62.

Beyond her Hanna-Barbera characters, Bea Benaderet voiced several characters in various Warner. Bros Looney Tunes cartoons throughout the 1940s and 1950s. In particular, she portrayed the character of Granny in numerous shorts during this time.
Behind the scenes
- In the Archer episode "Liquid Lunch," Archer says that On the Town was Bea Benaderet's film debut, but when the others don't know who he's talking about, he tries to jog their memories by telling them she was Mrs. Barney Rubble.
