"The Monster from the Tar Pits" is the sixth episode of The Flintstones season one. It aired on November 4, 1960 on ABC. It was written by Warren Foster, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of the series and the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.
When a cheap film company comes to Bedrock, Fred gets the role of stand-in for Gary Granite, but the role and treatment he gets are less glamorous than he imagined.
