Legacy
- There were two more episodes with the Harlem Globetrotters, "The Lochness Mess" and "The Mystery of Haunted Island." Neither of which had any sense of continuity, since in all three episodes Mystery Incorporated and the Globetrotters just knew each other by reputation alone.

- In the Sugar and Toys episode "Cribfest," In a segment called "The Scoobidy-Doobidy Basketball Variety Mystery Show," parodying the episodes that had the Globetrotters, Lakers coach Luke Walton has hired the Scoobidy Gang to find LeBron James's missing hairline, which he claims the Barber Fairy took after a story that Kobe Bryant told him when joining the Lakers. After a short investigation, the gang discovers that the Barber Fairy is really Kobe who didn't want LeBron to play better than him. Scooby and Shaggy's doppelgangers are called Scoobidy and Shaky, respectively.
