Talk:Snagglepuss Lion
I think most early 60s HB shows' protagonist were inspired by what came in the 50s from HB because Yakky was originally Iddy Biddy Buddy from versus 50s HB cartoons and Hokey and Ding were originally Chiefy and Shorty from an early Huck short. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 15:12, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yakky vs. Iddy Biddy Buddy really bugged me at first, but I'm starting to accept them as the same character. I don't remember Chiefy and Shorty. -- MisterJames (talk) 15:58, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'm thinking they were the same character because in shape, size, voice and personality it's all the same. You don't remember Chiefy and Shorty? You weren't the only one, I pretty much found out they existed though Yowp's blog[1] -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 16:15, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, wow, they really do have that same look about them. -- MisterJames (talk) 21:16, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Toing Tiger
Apparently, there was a scraped animal character I never heard of called "Toing Tiger", this character actually kinda looks similar to Snagglepuss once you see the model sheets of the character. I guess they tried to "clone" Snagglepuss much like they did with Yogi? -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 01:56, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- I mean, at first I thought it was an early design of Snagglepuss, but then I saw the year was from 1965 on the model sheet, while Snagglepuss was from 1961. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 02:01, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'm going to have to guess that the character was cut, due to being to similar to Snagglepuss. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 10:40, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- I was about to say that may have decided not to go with Toing Tiger because he also looked too similar to Cool Cat, but Cool Cat debuted in 1967. -- MisterJames (talk) 12:59, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

Pink years
I like the "Pink Years," it's just that we know Snagglepuss as being pink, and he's never going to be any other colour than pink now. Maybe it might be wiser to do the "Brown Years?" -- Signed by James (talk) 21:38, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
- That's fair, and I agree. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:39, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
Rescue Rangers
I thought Snagglepuss's mouth had been taken, but then I read on Twitter that it belonged to the Pink Panther, which makes me think the mouth I saw that resembled Yogi's may not have been his after all. -- Signed by James (talk) 13:58, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
Surname
The first time I recall Snagglepuss's surname being Lion was in a Laff-a-Lympics comic. In the Jellystone! episode "Balloon Kids," the name above his doorbell is "Snag. L." It just makes me wonder if we should consider changing his name to Snagglepuss Lion? Doesn't seem like it was overly important to Hanna-Barbera. -- Signed by James (talk) 12:54, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, I mean, we did the same for Lambsy (even though his surname was only mentioned in two shorts), I think with Snagglepuss, it should be fine. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 23:18, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- There's also Boo Boo, who has only been called Bear so few times. I'm a bit worried about renaming the page. Should "Snagglepuss (segments)" stay the same? -- Signed by James (talk) 00:39, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, cause we also have the episode and comic. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 01:19, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
