Cartoon Network and Ghost Planet logos in the style of the Michael Peters BBC logo
Hey James, you know the Cartoon Network and Ghost Planet logos that are in the style of the Michael Peters BBC logo? Is that slanted and underlined BBC logo actually introduced in either 1986 or 1987?
Here's the link: https://rewind.thetvroom.com/46153/features/when-did-the-michael-peters-bbc-logo-officially-launch/
That slanted BBC logo with the blue, red and green underlines was also actually seen on the BBC's Nine O'Clock News from December 9th, 1987 with Martyn Lewis CBE and former ITV Meridian presenter Debbie Thrower, see here (at around 3:27): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTOMqx1I39I
That logo also appears on the front cover of the See for Yourself supplement (which has Anita Dobson and the late Sir Robin Day (1923-2000) on the front cover) given away with the 2-8 January 1988 edition of Radio Times, which was released on sale in late December 1987.
So what are your thoughts about it anyway, James? --Michael (talk) 13:49, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
