Behind the scenes
- The title card shows Dee Dee using her index finger which is made to look like she is using her middle finger.
- At the beginning, Dee Dee asks Dexter if he's going to make another remote control that turns people into animals, which is a reference to the pilot episode "Changes."
- While being seperated from their rude counterparts, both Dexter and Dee Dee speak in a British accent, instead of an unspecified European and American accent, respectively. By contrast, the rude versions of Dexter and Dee Dee speak in a gruff Brooklyn dialect.
- Dexter's dessert ban is reused from the episode "Hunger Strikes." Unlike this episode, Dexter was banned from eating dessert because he didn't eat his vegetables.
Errors
- Dee Dee's name in the blueprint for the Rude Removal Machine is misspelled as "Dede".
- When Dexter's hair explodes, it is black and spiky, but in the next scene it is normal.
- When Rude Dexter grabs a cream pie from the fridge, the cherry on the top is red. But when Dexter's Mom yells at him for having dessert, the cherry is purple.
- Mom makes a grammatical error when she says "Stop this this instant!", when the phrase should have been "Stop that this instant!"
