Behind the scenes
- With every episode's title card, one of the gang announces the guest star, which is Daphne this time.
- Sean Astin's work as an actor in the Lord of the Rings trilogy is mentioned and there are several allusions: Sean refers to himself and the gang as the Alliance of the Ring of Key, taken from the Fellowship of the Ring.
- Shaggy says "Zoinks" three times.
- The episode also ends with a reference to The Goonies, another popular film Sean starred in.
Errors
- The hardware store's signs say "More! Walls! Doors! Stuff!", while the key ring attachment says "More Walls, Doors & Stuff," but Daphne reads it as "More Walls, More Doors, More Stuff," and the manager and the bank detective also refer to it as Daphne does.
- The toilet in the hardware store wouldn't be able to flush without water or without being connected to plumbing.
