"Poopdeck Pappy and the Family Tree" is the second and final part of the second episode of Popeye and Son season one, and the fourth episode overall. It aired on September 26, 1987 on CBS. It was written by Eric Lewald, directed by John Kimball and Paul Sommer, and voice directed by Gordon Hunt.

When Poopdeck Pappy comes for a visit, he tries to impress Junior's classmates with stories of past Popeyes, but their eccentric ways end up embarrassing him.

  • Perhaps because of the idea of a child falling off a cliff while hanging onto a bus (or perhaps even the difficulty in animating that), Junior disappears for a brief period between the fall and Pappy bringing the bus back to safety.
