  • In The Simpsons episode "Sideshow Bob Roberts," when Sideshow Bob is elected the new mayor, he uses his power to send Bart to kindergarten, where he guesses correctly the shape of a triangle and is rewarded with first choice of a toy to play with, which is a talking Flintstones phone, which includes Mr. Slate on one of the buttons, but Bart chooses to hear Fred's voice.
  • In The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode "Stress Related," Will jokes about Uncle Phil working for Mr. Slate, the latter says he had to make copies of legal documents before Xerox machines existed. Looking unamused, Will then had to explain to Uncle Phil he was a character on The Flintstones.
