Kellanova, formally known as the Kellogg Company, is an American multinational food manufacturing company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, US. It was founded by Will Keith Kellogg in 1906. The company, under its brand name Kellogg's, has many products of well known brands, including Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes and Rice Krispies under its international cereal division.
In the late 1950s to 1960s, Kellogg's was the sponsor of Hanna-Barbera's various properties, which included the likes of The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Yogi Bear Show, Top Cat, and The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. Unique to The Huckleberry Hound Show and The Yogi Bear Show is that the sponsored commercials brought together the stars of the show who were normally only appeared in their own separate segments. Many Hanna-Barbera characters appeared on the box as cross-promotions, including Snagglepuss, who appeared as the mascot of Cocoa Krispies from 1963 to until 1967.
On October 23, 2023, the company was split into two entities, with WK Kellogg Co owning the North American cereal division in Battle Creek, Michigan, and the existing company rebranding itself to Kellanova, while also owning brands like Pop-Tarts and Pringles alongside the international cereal division. "Kellogg's" itself became a brand name of both companies.
