Baxter! is a British-American drama film, based on the 1968 novel The Boy Who Could Make Himself Disappear by Kinn Platt. It was produced by Anglo-EMI Film Distributors, Group W Films, Hanna-Barbera Productions, and Performing Arts, and distributed by National General Pictures on March 4, 1973. It was written by Reginald Rose, produced by Arthur Lewis, and directed by Lionel Jeffries.
An American boy with a speech impediment moves with his mother to England after his parents get a divorce. He quickly befriends a young model, her French boyfriend, and the local school speech therapist, who helps him overcome his problems, which he doesn't get from his distant mother.
