"Attack of the Tree People" is the nineteenth episode of Jonny Quest season one. It aired on January 21, 1965 on ABC. It was written by Walter Black, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.
Jonny and Hadji are marooned on the jungle coast of the African continent, where they are adopted by a tribe of friendly gorilla-like apes, who protect them from a pair of Australian poachers intent on kidnapping them. When the poachers managed to abduct Doctor Quest and Race, Jonny and Hadji must persuade the apes to help rescue them and defeat the poachers.
