"Watch Dog Augie" is the fifth episode of Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy season one, and came as a segment of The Quick Draw McGraw Show. It aired in the week of October 20, 1959 in first run syndication. It was written by Mike Maltese, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.
Daddy allows Augie be a watchdog for one night, then disguises himself as a burglar, only for a real burglar to arrive at the same time.
