"Watch Dog Augie" is the fourth episode of Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy season one, and came as a segment of The Quick Draw McGraw Show. It aired in the week of October 19, 1959 in first-run syndication. It was written by Michael Maltese, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.
Daddy allows Augie to be a watchdog for one night, then disguises himself as a burglar, only for a real burglar to arrive at the same time.
