Meanwhile, Smith becomes worried about how Hokey's doing, so he decides to look through the window only to see that Hokey faked his leg being broken, he than goes to get his gun and prepares to shoot Hokey, Hokey plugs his finger in the gun only for Smith to shoot and blow Hokey's eardrums out. Smith than chases Hokey to tear him apart with his barehands, just than the Humane Society people arrived to do the story on Smith, Hokey suggests that they take a few pictures of Farmer Smith feeding his friend and him.

"Tricks and Treats" is the first episode of Hokey Wolf season one. It aired as a segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show. It first aired on March 13, 1961 in first run syndication. It was written by Warren Foster, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.

Hokey and Ding-a-Ling set up Farmer Smith to gain free food handouts. Hokey then summons the press to ensure his success.
