Behind the scenes
- With every episode's title card, one of the gang announces the guest star, which is Fred this time.
- This is the second episode of season one to be set in Pennslvania, after "A Mystery Solving Gang Divided". Whether or not they're supposed to be back-to-back is unclear.
- The photo of Snuggily Wuggily when on the table, resembles Scooby in the TV series A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.
- Except for the different colors, the gang's winter outfits match what they wore in the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode "That's Snow Ghost".
- Although Whoopi doesn't mention the film by name, it's her role in 1990's Ghost that gets her interested in becoming a real psychic.
- How many times does Shaggy say "Zoinks"? Twice.
- How many times does Daphne say "Jeepers"? Once.
- How many times does Velma say "Jinkies"? Once.
- How many times does Scooby say "Ruh-roh"? Once.
Errors
- The effort of Wuggly Puggly resembling Scooby from A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, as mentioned above, is made fruitless when the artists can't keep consistent. He only resembles that incarnation of Scooby in close-ups of his photo.
- Why aren't Mystery Inc. already in their winter gear before leaving the Mystery Machine? Isn't it cold inside the van?
- When the Nightmare Ghost blocks the gang and Whoopi's path, the details in its penny eyes are missing.
- The portrait of Maximillian Fielding is missing his name, years of living, and personal quote when Velma moves it to reveal the secret passageway; when Shaggy, Scooby, and Whoopi come to open it; and when Shaggy and Scooby hold up the portrait.
- How did Fred and the girls get their gear back on when they had taken it off and stored it in another part of the building?
- If Burt Friendly was part of Psychic U.'s graduating class of 1965, how would that not have made him an old man in "Revenge of the Swamp Monster!"?
- When the gang and Whoopi go to check on the snow machines filling the entire inside of the school, Shaggy and Whoopi somehow have their coats on with no time to get them.
