The Fairly OddParents is an American animated TV series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon. The series began life as a segment of Oh Yeah Cartoons! in 1998 before being turned into a full fledged series in 2001. The series ran from 2001 to 2017, spanning 172 episodes across 10 seasons, a few specials, and three live action films. A live action sequel series Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder began airing on Paramount+ in 2022.

Timmy Turner is given two magical fairies; Cosmo and Wanda, after being neglected by his parents and bullied by his babysitter. Cosmo and Wanda's job is to grant Timmy any wish as long as it doesn't go against Da Rules. Later on, the series would introduce Cosmo and Wanda's kid Poof, Timmy magic dog Sparky, and Timmy's neighbor Chloe Carmicle, whom Timmy has to share Cosmo and Wanda with.

Since Hartman previously worked at Hanna-Barbera, it's no surprise he would squeeze in references of his old job's cartoons.

Flintstones

  • Channel Chasers: Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda are sent into a parody of the Flintstone called "The Meatflints". While "driving away" from a sabretooth tiger, Timmy points out that if the cars in this show are powered by feet, shouldn't they just keep running? There is also an error as the Meatflints on the TV Guide is called "The Turnstones"

Jetsons

  • Channel Chasers: Timmy is sent to a parody of the Jetsons called "The Futurellis"

Jonny Quest

  • Channel Chasers: Timmy is sent into a parody of Jonny Quest called "Johnny Hunt"

Josie And The Pussycats

  • "Shelf Life": Tom Swayer changes "Jason and the Argonauts" to "Jason and the Pussycats'. They even sing a parody of the theme song.

Scooby-Doo

  • Channel Chasers: Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda are sent into a parody of Scooby-Doo called "Snooper Dog and the Clue Crew", this can arguable also be a parody of Goober and the Ghost Chasers.
  • "Dread N Breakfast": During the chase scene, a parody of Shaggy and Scooby appear. The Shaggy parody even says "Doinks!"
  • "The Wand That Got Away:" While on the search for Cosmo's wand, the gang take on the role of Mystery Inc..

Space Ghost

  • Channel Chasers: Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda are sent into a parody of Space Ghost called "Space Spectre"

Tom and Jerry

  • Channel Chasers: Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda are sent into a parody of Tom and Jerry called "Ted and Jimmy"
  • "Mousecapades:" Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda tuned in to see "Sleazy and Cheezy"

Yogi Bear

  • The Timmy and Jimmy Power Hour: When Jimmy Nuetron tries to explain to Timmy's classmate that he's not Timmy, Sanjay mocks him by saying "I'm not Sanjay, I'm Yogi Bear and I am smarter than the average bear".
