  • While this is Toodles's first appearance in a Tom and Jerry cartoon, an early version had previously appeared in the non-Tom and Jerry short, The Alley Cat. An early version of Butch was also a protagonist in the latter and had also been previously transferred into the Tom and Jerry series with Baby Puss.
