Motormouse and Autocat is a series of animated segments as part of the Cattanooga Cats, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for ABC's Saturday morning children's programming debuting. It ran from 1969 to 1971, airing 34 episodes that spanned two seasons.
The shorts' second season were featured in their own half hour spinoff show, alongside the It's the Wolf shorts.
In this twist on a Tom and Jerry-based plot, the series follows Autocat chasing Motormouse, who uses a motorcycle of his own, while using different vehicles in order to maintain his job at the Spin-Your-Wheels Garage as a mouse catcher, however, these schemes usually backfire on Autocat.
Although the series never saw a home media release, the episode "Wheelin' and Dealin'" was originally announced to be featured on the DVD, Best of Warner Bros. 25 Cartoon Collection: Hanna-Barbera, part of the Best of Warner Bros. series, but was removed for an unknown reason.[1]
