Joseph Francis Alaskey III was an American actor.

Alaskey died on February 3, 2016 of cancer at the age of 63. Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz, which was Alaskey's final role, is dedicated to him.

Other roles

Being one of the first people to take up Mel Blanc's role following his death, Alaskey was the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Marvin the Martian for several Looney Tunes media, including the film Looney Tunes: Back in Action and the 2003 Duck Dodgers television series, in which he won an Emmy for his voice work.


Behind the scenes

  • Chris Edgerly replaced Alaskey as the voice of Peter Potamus after the first season of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.
  • Following Alaskey's death, Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone, creators of the Duck Dodgers series, dedicated this drawing of Dodgers and Space Cadet to him.
