Ma-Ti is a Native American teenager, member of the Planeteers, and one of the main characters in the Captain Planet and the Planeteers animated television series. He is voiced by Scott Menville.

In popular culture

• Efren Ramirez plays Ma-Ti in the 2011 live-action Funny or Die short Captain Planet with Don Cheadle. The Planeteers call on Planet to stop Hoggish Greedly, but are horrified when he goes a step too far by turning him into a tree. When Kwame speaks up, Planet turns him into a tree, too, and threatens the other Planeteers if they try and stop him. In part two, it is revealed that he turned her into a tree along with the rest of the Planeteers, except for Ma-Ti who he forces into being his servant. Captain Planet takes away his ring privileges when he gives him a synthetic polyester towel to wipe his face. In part four, Ma-Ti attempts to kill Captain Planet with a knife to the back. As payback, Captain Planet raises him arm up to turn him into a tree, but stops when he Ma-Ti begins an impassionate speech about "El Capitan" taking away the Planeteers, his family, and "that monkey," but he can't take away his heart. This gives Captain Planet the idea to rip his heart out.
