Super Secret Secret Squirrel is a series of animated segments as part of 2 Stupid Dogs, produced by Hanna-Barbera (HB) for TBS. It ran in 1993, airing 13 episodes. It is a sequel to the Secret Squirrel and Morocco Mole shorts of the 1960s, but it is also a reimagining since the new series has abandoned the mix of humans and anthropomorphic animals to just a world where only animals live.
Secret agent Secret Squirrel is back to fighting crime and saving the world from the criminal underworld, with his trusted companion/assistant, Morocco Mole.
The entire series has been released on DVD.
Production
Development
When Hanna-Barbera didn't want three 2 Stupid Dogs segments in a row, Donovan Cook suggested rebooting Secret Squirrel. The studio agreed and he promptly hired Paul Rudish to help develop the show, which lasted a couple of months. When Cook took to storyboarding "Goldflipper," Rudish continued to design the world, which included turning everyone into anthropomorphic animals.
Music
The theme song was performed by Chris Desmond and Tom Seufert, with the score performed by Vaughn Johnson, with additional music from Guy Moon. Bodie Chandler was the director of music production.
