Grape Apers
The Grape Apers aren't exactly all anthropomorphic animals because Winnie Witch isn't an animal. Because I couldn't find much information on the team. I don't really know all the members. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:08, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- Also, Winnie Witch seems to be based off of Winnie Witch from an early Yogi Bear short. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:12, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Apparently I found out Rand McNally (the company behind the coloring books) didn't own the rights to the early HB properties, that would explain why they weren't here lol. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 04:21, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
Activity book
In a LaL activity book, Magilla Gorilla is depicted as a member of the Yahooeys[1]. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 01:34, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
Jinks and Hokey
I've seen some people argue about why Hokey and especially Jinks are on the Yahooeys team and not the Really Rottens. Truth to be told, they are some of Yogi's close friends, so them using cheats against Yogi doesn't appear to make much sense to me, don't get me wrong though, they were definitely villainous on their own shorts. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:03, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- After the initial appearances, there was clearly some tampering, like with Hokey and Jinks, and Mumbly. Changing Hokey and Jinks into purely good guys is the same reason Tom would be transformed into a purely good guy if the plot required it, because he'd be seen as more valuable as a good guy than a bad guy. For Mumbly, it was simply a case of needing a Muttley replacement, and Mumbly was the perfect replacement since he was Muttley substitute to begin with. -- MisterJames (talk) 19:11, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Makes sense for sure. Muttley couldn't be used due to copyright so Mumbly, a once heroic dog, was turned villainous as a replacement. Jinks and Hokey can be turned villainous based on how the plot wants them to, such as some of Hokey's roles on Yogi's Treasure Hunt. Another once villainous character was Mildew, but he became an on the field sportscaster with Snagglepuss, who also was once villainous on The Quick Draw McGraw Show. It really depends on Tom weather or not he appears as a villainous role based on the plot he and Jerry have to go through. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:06, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- I think I know the reasons now, on Jinks, a comic revealed that he, Pixie and Dixie had a "truce" going on during the games, so Jinks won't be chasing Pixie and Dixie during the games. On Hokey, in his debut series, he was villainous because he was after food and since it was revealed all the teammates an get to eat an awful lot, Hokey doesn't have to have a need to be conning. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 23:01, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
