Talk:The Milky Waif
Sorry to bother you, but that short marks the first appearance of Nibbles (later known as Tuffy).
I also don't like that short BTW due to Jerry letting out a roar towards Tom after the latter hit Nibbles on the rear with a flyswatter and also because of Jerry and Nibbles using black shoe polish to disguise themselves as a pair of black people, which is later edited out of all television airings (including the Turner prints and on Cartoon Network and Boomerang in many regions such as the UK and US) and on some home media releases which meant that Nibbles spitting the milk at Tom now cuts directly to Tom running into Jerry's pan instead, most likely to avoid any controversy of stereotyping.
The roar also even appears in the Droopy short Northwest Hounded Police, two Tex Avery shorts called Hound Hunters and Slap Happy Lion and the Barney Bear short The Bear and the Hare, all of which were released in 1946, 1947 and 1948, respectively and even appears in the 1987 film Jaws: The Revenge as well.
This short is thankfully not on the Boomerang streaming app and HBO Max, respectively anyway.
I just thought i'd tell you. --Michael (talk) 13:47, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how to deal with the name, just as I'm not sure how to deal with Quacker the duck's name. I guess whatever is the most popularly used. -- Signed by James (talk) 16:54, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
