Talk:Puss n' Toots

I know that Mammy Two-Shoes has become a widely accepted name, but when did Toots become one for the girl cat? I've seen the model sheet which says "Girl Friend", and I haven't seen anything remotely worthy of addressing her as "Toots". If the title card was supposed to be implicating that that's her name, then that would be different, but I don't know if that's the case. Donald Duck would say things like, "Hiya, toots," but that didn't mean that was the name of the woman he was talking to. -- MisterJames (talk) 19:34, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

It sounds alot like a nickname for a female character - Bean Pod'ners from Hokey's segment was originally going to be called "Boobs in the Woods" and the "Boobs" part is referring to the two wolves. - as a conclusion, I'm more than sure it's just a nickname for the character and not the actual name. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:52, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
Turns out in The Zoot Cat, she's referred to as Toots (as well as Sheikie). Granted, she does look different (and the Tom and Jerry Wiki depicts them as two different characters), but as we know with characters like Cindy Bear, some characters can change drastically yet still be the one and the same. -- MisterJames (talk) 00:33, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
Although that would be implying they are the same character without any evidence. -- MisterJames (talk) 01:04, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
Exactly, I always found it a bit off that Cindy changed over the years while Yogi, Boo Boo and even Ranger Smith barely changed. If there's enough evidence, we can say their the same character. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 03:16, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
