I feel like the name is Laurel & Hardy, but it's just being worded as "A Laurel & Hardy Cartoon." -- Signed by James (talk) 15:28, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

True. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:13, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
I given more thought about it, and I think you're right, I also feel it's just Laurel & Hardy, so I started changing the links. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 17:11, 14 October 2024 (UTC)

Ownership

During his lifetime, the rights for the series were held by Larry Harmon, but afterward, I'm not entirely certain on who acquired rights for the show after Larry had passed. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:39, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

According to Wikipedia, the North American rights to the majority of the Laurel & Hardy library (mainly consisting of the duo's films and shorts) is currently owned by Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, a successor-in-interest to several companies who once held these rights (Cabin Fever, RHI, Hallmark, and Sonar). Larry Harmon's estate still owns the liknesses and trademarks to the duo after his passing, but if that company owns the Laurel & Hardy library, then there is a likely chance that they too also have the rights of the cartoon. Of course, the show hasn't been released on physical media or streaming by themselves (at least in North America), so it's hard for me to say whether or not they really own it. -- QuestJ65 (talk) 21:39, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the info, I also think that the company who owns the shorts also owns the cartoon, it's just hard to confirm. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:43, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
