I guess it's also called "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids" sometimes as well. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 15:01, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
- I think I forgot to include that. -- Signed by James (talk) 18:38, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
I kind of thought about renaming this to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids, because it seems that Hanna-Barbera (either by forgetting or retconning) had decided it should be called this in the 1990s trading cards they were doing. But then the group would just have to be renamed to "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids (team)." -- Signed by James (talk) 10:33, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- I feel like it was supposed to be Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids despite what the title card shows, one could argue that it makes the title fit in the drum better as just "Butch Cassidy," and that's probably why they didn't put in the full title. It's kinda similar, I guess, to when they decided to retitle Sinbad Jr. and His Magic Belt to just being known as Sinbad Jr. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:13, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- I mean, heck, they even have the DVD as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:15, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- I can think of other times the DVDs just did their own thing anyway, but I think there were other times when the on-screen title was different from how it was announced. Although I can only think of Smurfs vs. The Smurfs at the moment. I looked at the newspapers and they had Butch Cassidy, but that may have been to save page space. I don't know, but with the replace text tool, it makes it very easy to change things now, so I will just trust your judgment on this. :) -- Signed by James (talk) 20:16, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- Gotcha, I'm just glad to hear that the replace text is working out, it saves us more time than just manually changing it around. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:54, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
