I remember that I read that complicated copyright issues prevented some of the characters of Wacky Races from reappearing in future media, which kinda explains why they cut down the cast in modern series, such as the pilot of Wacky Races Forever and the 2017 reboot. Heatter-Quigley Inc. co-created the original series and had partial rights, this caused some copyright conflicts later on, such as when they wanted to use Dastardly and Muttley for Laff-a-Lympics, but couldn't because of HQ's partnership (although this was resolved for Yogi's Treasure Hunt and other appearances). WB seems to have some issues in using some of the characters too, which is probably why they're rarely used. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:52, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
