Behind the scenes

  • This is the episode that led Tim Sheridan, the writer of the direct-to-video film Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost, to believe that the gang had captured twelve ghosts in the series, instead, of eleven, even though it's highly ambiguous whether or not the ship captain could be considered one of the released ghosts,[1] or the combined fury of all the previously caught ghosts should count as one, as both being theorized by Sheridan himself, and Capstone's Scooby-Doo! Encyclopedia. But, Sheridan also contradicts the former possibility himself because the ghosts on the boat seem more recent than the escaped ghosts supposedly being ancient.
