"Sheriff for a Day" is the twenty-first episode of The Flintstones season five, and the hundred and twenty-second overall. It aired on February 5, 1965 on ABC. It was written by Joanna Lee, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of the series and the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.
Fred runs into an old friend in an old western town, and becomes a sheriff to defend the town from the dastardly Slatery Brothers.
